Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Angry Birds’ Red Joins the Race Today!

SEGA officially released the free Angry Birds content for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds! Players can now fly high around the track as Red. Starting tomorrow Thursday, April 16 at 5:00 PM PT and until Sunday, April 19, 4:59 PM PT fans can jump in and earn festival points for decals, gadgets and more! The free Angry Birds Content Drop includes the following:

  • Red from Angry Birds as a playable character
  • Red’s vehicle, the Super Roaster
  • Special emotes and sounds, including 3 new songs added to the Jukebox:
  • “Go! Theme”
  • “Go! Theme (Final Lap)”
  • “Angry Birds Theme”

Players who own either the Standard (physical or digital) or Digital Deluxe versions of the game will automatically receive the free Angry Birds Content Drop. Please ensure that the game is updated to the latest version for the content to be downloaded properly.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds New Free Characters Update Reveals Red, Majima, Arle and More!

SEGA has revealed new details about the upcoming Patch 3 update for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, including a lineup of free downloadable content arriving in the months ahead. Players can look forward to racing as several fan-favorite characters from across the SEGA universe. The free additions will feature crossovers with well-known characters from franchises that include Angry Birds, Yakuza and Puyo Puyo! Additionally, SEGA is adding a playlist of classic SEGA racing tunes!

The content will begin rolling out as part of the Patch 3 update, which is scheduled to go live on Wednesday, March 18 at 5 PM PT. Once the update launches, all players will be able to download the new content at no additional cost. SEGA says additional details about the upcoming characters and content drops will be shared closer to release.

Sakura Wars CG Motion Manga heading to Japan by TOMOTOON!

SEGA and Red has collabrated with japanese animation studio TOMOTOON! to bring the manga adaptation of Sakura Wars by series creator, Ouji Hiroi, to life with CG motion, which was also translated into english towards the Western manga readers by the manga publishing company, TokyoPop.

The trailer features a few first panels of the manga in full motion CG, almost compared to the Valkyria Chronicles cutscenes. I happen to like motion comics by comic publishers like Marvel and DC Comics for example and pretty stoke to see how this turns out as a fan of the series. What are your thoughts?
