Yakuza Ishin to play like a JRPG and focus on new in depth combat system

A little more information on Yakuza Ishin (being called Yakuza Resurrection by the media) has come out. First of all it is detailed that the opening part of the game will show Sakamoto Ryoma’s death by they Bakufu supporters. Then it will go to a prologue that will be played in Tosa, but the game will mostly take place in ancient Koyoto.

According to Famitsu, Kazuma Kiryu won’t be mentioned by name and the lead character won’t have his iconic tattoos. So its basically a whole new cast of characters that just happen to look like Yakuza characters. SEGA says they are focusing on making Yakuza Ishin one of the most enjoyable JRPGs you can buy. Weapons in the game will consist of swords and firearms, stating that there will be a ton available for the player to choose from. You will be to enhance your abilities and even forge weapons.

Another focus for SEGA is to refresh the gameplay, in this game you have more depth in combat compared to past titles in the series. Battles are actually harder if your weapons and level aren’t up to par. The level cap in the game is set to 99.

Still no mention on what platform(s) it will be on. But don’t be shocked if it turns out to be a Playstation 4 exclusive.

Toshihiro Nagoshi you did well on the new Yakuza Ishin title PS4 i think it will do well in the west especially when there are not many games out at the moment even if it were subtitled i have it on import i think you should do just this title for the west and no others make it a one off.
