Retro Sonic fans better enjoy their classic Sonic while they can, because it looks like they won’t be seeing him again, at least not for a while.

Personally, I don’t see the point in bringing classic Sonic back after this, at least not until the 25th anniversary. Classic Sonic holds a special place in Sonic history. He is all about the 90s when cute little pudgy animals dominated video games. Let him continue to exist as a part of that era, not this one.

i wouldnt mind seeing classic sonic return in the party games (all star racing, olympic games, ect.)
They say that now but they’ll need to see how well people respond to him, it’s a shame Sonic 4 already happened or he could’ve been in that. >.>

all he says is there are no current plans. I do believe at one point sega reps were saying that black eyed sonic would never be seen again in the first place. If generations does super well, I have no doubt that we’ll be seeing classic sonic again soon.
Classic Sonic is not cute, his cute level is of the level of the current modern Sonic.
But I am sure if this game sells very well, then the following game sales do not do too well, I suspect SEGA will be forced to bring him back into action. I’d much rather have the design closer to the Sonic CD intro design though.

I don’t see what the point would be in bringing back Classic Sonic. Keep his gameplay, sure, but modern Sonic is Sonic. No reason not to have Sonic’s latest design in new Sonic games, *especially* in Sonic 4, which otherwise played it FAR too safe.
I didn’t say Classic Sonic was cute. I said he game from an era when cute animals generally ruled gaming.
That being said, he IS cute in Generations.

Im sorry but withhout classic sonic modern sonic doesnt exsist, sonic the hedgehog on the megadrive was my first game i ever played l hes the reason why i have been playing games to this day. There are no more excuses from sega , classic fans have waited so long long to see a true next gen classic sonic gameplay , why cant future games be like generations.
