Chu Chu Rocket recreated in LittleBigPlanet 2

Snap, seems that there is another SEGA theme creation in LittleBigPlanet 2. This time someone took the tools given in the game and recreated a puzzle from Chu Chu Rocket. Pretty impressive. I suck at creating stuff in the game.

Search for it when you guys play, if you guys are wondering who created it… he goes by “Hymanator”. Classy name.

Phantasy Star Online 2 Concept Movie

A new PSO2 trailer! It shows a lot of stuff! You can see how crazy the character creation is, see the new fancy lobbies, you can see the awesome new battle system, and a whole lot of other stuff I didn’t mention, such as 12 person parties! Enjoy!

Renegade Ops Game Mode trailer is fantastic

When I first heard that SEGA was going to publish Renegade Ops, I cringed. Just hearing the title made me think of a generic shooting game. But after watching this new trailer, I’m pretty damn excited.

The graphics are pretty impressive for a downloadable title: especially the effects, like the explosions.  Plus that 4 player online co-op could be damn fun.

Sega-16: Celebrates 7 years with a Relaunch

I would like to apologize for my lateness as we are over a week late in reporting this but better late than never. SEGA-16.Com has relaunched and they are looking great.

For those unaware, SEGA-16 is the best site for preserving and digging deeper into the best era of SEGA, the 16-bit Era. Over the years they have interviewed corporate legends such as former SOA presidents Tom Kailnske and Michael Katz, along with devs like Mark Cerny and Peter Moriawec and even former allies like Electronic Arts founder Trip Hawkins.

If you want to be a top notch, hardcore, know it all Mr.SEGA Man, than SEGA-16 is where you start your reading.

Unfortunately it will probably take them sometime before all their features are back online.

Anarchy Reigns story trailer, now in English

I posted the same trailer yesterday, only issue was that the last one was in Japanese. This one has the English voice actor laying down lines nice and cheesy. Seems that the story is going to be about someone turning the fighters against each other.

Yeah, not a very unique storyline, but its presented rather well. Don’t you agree?

SEGA Sequel Saturdays: What is Anarchy Reigns?

We’re at Episode 25 of SEGA Sequel Saturdays, and for this edition I’m compelled to ask a simple question: what the heck is Anarchy Reigns? Though SEGA has, from the start, released a relatively consistent stream of footage and tidbits of into, I can’t shake the feeling that I have no idea what the game is going to be, and each new bit of footage or information we receive has the effect of confusing me more and more. To be fair to SEGA, the game’s not planned for release until January 2012, which means we’re still a long way off, but today I’m asking a couple of questions that I really want to have answered, in some form, for me to ultimately decide whether I’m excited for this game or not.

Review: Captain America: Super Soldier (PS3)

With the release of Captain America: Super Soldier, SEGA will be bringing a close to the licensing deal that they started with Marvel several years ago. So after four tie-ins with Marvel Entertainment, has SEGA improved in the quality of their licensed output? Read on to find out in my extensive review on the last game in their Marvel movie tie-in, Captain America: Super Soldier.

Sturmwind Delayed

Redspotgames has been busy the past year with their usual promotions and sponsorships at Forumla events (yes, they promoted Rush Rush Rally Racing by sponsoring a BMW driver!) But wasn’t their next big release due this month? Whatever happend to Sturmwind? Well, it has been delayed. Why you ask?

After an internal evaluation as well as constructive feedback from fans, redspotgames and Duranik have decided to put even more efforts into ‚Sturmwind‘. Unfortunately this means that both parties have to announce a delay of the release of the game. The new street day will be 11-11-11.

The option to cancel the preorder has also been made avaialble (although no money will be deducted until unless the product ships, so why would one want to cancel it?)

For more information regarding the delay read the press release at redspotgames.com

The Weekly Five: Lesser Known Dreamcast Exclusives

I make it no secret that I am a big time Dreamcast fan. It is the SEGA console I own the most games for (around 120 last time I counted) and every September 9th I take the day off from work to host a nine hour Dreamcast marathon. There are many reasons why I love the console, but the number one would have to be the exclusives. Jet Set Radio, Shenmue and Crazy Taxi 2 are fantastic games and have yet to appear on any other console, and I’m totally cool with that. It’s a perfect reason for my Dreamcast to remain hooked up next to my current generation consoles.

But as time goes on, SEGA has been porting more and more Dreamcast classics to other consoles. Great for the gaming community, bad for the Dreamcast. Less exclusives mean less of a reason for gamers to pick up a used console. I know it sounds like I’m being overly dramatic, however this past May I did witness a kid turning down the purchase of a Dreamcast due to SEGA’s recently released Dreamcast Collection. As such, I thought I’d share five lesser known Dreamcast games that remain exclusive to the console and show no sign of receiving a rerelease. If you want these, you need a Dreamcast.

Awesome Vanquish Action Figure from Square Enix

I had always thought that Square Enix only churned out Final Fantasy action figures. But apparently they do more than just Cloud and Yuffie, they also have produced stunning figures of characters from Metal Gear Solid, Batman: Arkham Asylum and even SEGA’s own Vanquish. Revealed at Comic Con is this amazingly detailed Sam Gideon. I mean, just LOOK at that thing! Makes my Ninja Turtles and Ghostbusters figures of the 90’s look like crap by comparison. Of course, with great details and articulation comes a great price: figures in the Play Arts Kai line retail for around $40-$50. Thats more than I spent on my copy of Vanquish! Of course, the figure looks great, so I could easily see the price being justified. Just think of it as a statue and the $50 doesn’t seem so bad.

Anarchy Reigns story trailer looks fantastic, wish I could understand it

A new story trailer for Anarchy Reigns came out tonight. Yeah, looks pretty dramatic, just wish it was in English and not in Japanese. I guess we will have to wait for SEGA Europe or America to put out the English trailer, but I liked the Japanese trailer so much that I wanted to post it ASAP.

I’m one of the people around here who believes that Anarchy Reigns will be a good title due to Platinum Games already delivering 3 awesome games. This trailer just makes me believe in the game even more.
