Toshihiro Nagoshi went on stage at Sony’s TGS press conference to present this trailer of Yakuza Zero, which shows a younger Kazuma Kiryu in the year of 1988 as a debt collector. This is during a time when the economy in Japan was in shambles, which will have an affect on the game’s plot. He also announced that the game will have two playable characters: Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima.
The reveal of this trailer at the conference can be seen here. The game will be coming to Playstation 3 and Playstations 4 during Spring 2015 in Japan.

English. LOL
What’s holding them back from making this a ps4 exclusive? Wouldn’t that be a better way to bolster the japanese console sales?
The Japanese economy was definitely not in shambles in 1988. That was the height of the bubble economy!
ehh…things really went to pit a couple years later
Sega is about where they’ve been for the past couple of years? And they’ve always been a Japanese company?
I can’t make sense of what you’re saying
