Have you noticed something about Team Sonic Racing? There has been very little hype and update for the game and it seems the reason for that is that the game is being delayed. There have been rumors about this delay in the past but it has officially been confirmed by the Sonic the Hedgehog twitter account this morning:
Hey guys! To make Team Sonic Racing the best game it can be, we’re giving the team extra time to work on it. Our new release date is May 21, 2019.
We know delays are no fun, but quality matters most. Thanks for your patience – we’ve got more to show you for TSR very soon!

It feels to me that this could be a good idea if this actually means we are getting a better game for it. Quite frankly, I’m pretty sure that Team Sonic Racing might have not have done too hot this holiday season with big titles like Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Fallout 76 coming soon. What are your thoughts on the delay?
Hope they add more tracks and characters .
Excellent news, you can’t rush quality.
Good to see Sega determined to see the days of half baked Sonic titles come to an end.
While I’m happy that it’s been put back to polish it I do wonder about Sumo Digital these days as they’ve not had a title ship on time for several years now with this and both Crackdown 3 and Dad Island 2 having drawn out development cycles.
Hahaha, I know it was only a typo, but “Dad Island 2” just sounds hilarious.
Guess the Russians were right after all.
