So I took the chance and compared the official REVO screenshots on PS Store with actual ones from Ulitmate Showdown. The result is.. mixed – Broken house one looks almost the same, even the characters, but Temple is significantly sharper – the background as well as the characters. And there is no definitive answer which of these screenshots is more representative.

Aside from that, the games looks 100% the same – HUD, hit effects, character posing.. It really seems like the only differences are slightly higher resolution and new netcode/cross platform play. We will see about the new costumes or what the new content is going to be.

I think the new rollback netcode is the biggest improvement. My friends and I have played Final Showdown semi-regularly on Xbox for years and it would kind of hitch or pause briefly on occasion as it would re-sync the players. That should be eliminated now. Cross platform is a bonus because it will just make the pool of available players bigger for everyone.
