PSO2 livestream now live! [Update]

[Update: It’s over! I’m desperately trying to find a video of the trailer that was shown, but in the meantime you can look at my low quality screenshot!]

Well… it’s not exactly PSO2 just yet. Just a bunch of Japanese people talking and playing PSP2… but this is where the PSO2 footage is supposed to appear. So keep your eyes peeled!

This isn’t the official stream btw, just a fan stream of the official stream. So you don’t gotta worry about limits or moonspeak!

The mobile edition of this speedy title will include all the familiar faces and events players have enjoyed on other platforms when it drifts onto the App Store this spring.

Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing puts players on the track and in the shoes of a host of popular SEGA characters, from the blue blur himself to AiAi and Dr. Eggman, each with their own unique vehicle. A little PSO2 info to satisfy your hunger

Well, actually. This will probably only make you more hungry for PSO2, but at least it’s some info to think about and discuss.

  • Development of PSO2 has been running alongside PSP2 Infinity, so the game is further along in development than some people likely think.
  • Some kind of announcement may be made around the end of April, during the finals of the Infinity Grand Prix.
  • PSO2 will not be set in either Ragol or Gurhal. Instead, look forward to an even larger setting with numerous planets as indicated by the game’s logo.

RSS Feed Fixed

Hey everyone.

Just wanted to give a heads up that the RSS feed is now fixed, for those who have noticed it was broken. I want to thank the anonymous person on the SEGAbits survey who pointed out our RSS feed was broken, you rock, seriously! :3 It would of probably been broken for much longer had you not pointed it out.

An RSS feed is just something you except to work, so you don’t check it often to make sure it is working. Something must of went haywire when we updated wordpress. There is a new URL for the RSS feed so you might need to update your bookmarks accordingly.

Here is the new URL:
http://www.segabits.com/?feed=rss2

It’s also available in all the normal places where we have links to the SEGAbits.com RSS feed.

EDIT: FML. Must of messed something up, now the twitter feed is acting up. Will update this post when fixed.

EDIT 2: Should all be fixed now

Interview: SEGA’s stance on Digital Distribution

MCV UK has interviewed SEGA Europe’s John Clark about SEGA’s position in the digital distribution market. John Clark was the managing director at SEGA Europe, but he is now the director of digital distribution at SEGA and has given some insight as to what SEGA thinks of digital distribution. Clark says that SEGA is still very much a boxed goods company even though they have a section of SEGA dedicated to digital distribution.

New Valkyria Chronicles 3 videos

Andriasang has posted up new Valkyria Chronicles 3 videos with well typed out descriptions of each video. I’m really tired, so instead of making you read my broken grammar, I will just be quoting the expertly typed out descriptions by Andriasang.

This first video is basically an overview of everything:

PSP2 Infinity has new race designs

male newman

Male forces have been made incredibly feminine looking.

It looks as if SEGA and Sonic Team have given the races of Phantasy Star Portable 2 a makeover in Phantasy Star Portable 2 infinity. Every race has been given a new look. Hit the jump to see the rest of the races and a piece of concept art. I wonder if this is a sign of things to come for PSO2. Guess we will find out next year.

Sonic Colors OST detailed and priced

I know that on SEGAbits we try not to post too many Sonic related articles, but I thought an exception could be made. If you haven’t heard, Sonic Colors will be receiving an official soundtrack release in Japan. The name of the Sonic Colors OST is “ViViD SOUND X HYBRiD COLORS”.

“ViViD SOUND X HYBRiD COLORS” is a 3 CD soundtrack with 82 pieces of music. There will also be some pieces that were recorded with a live orchestra in Amsterdam. The OST has a release date of December 22nd, 2010 with a price tag of ¥4200 / £35 / $60.

If I have enough money I will personally be importing the soundtrack from Japan. If you haven’t heard any of the Sonic Colors music check out this beautiful Planet Wisp Act 1 music. Is there anyone else that will be importing “ViViD SOUND X HYBRiD COLORS” from Japan? Let us know in the comments!
