Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack updated with Alisa Dragoon, Beyond Oasis, and Earthworm Jim

On Thursday, September 15th, Sega added three more classic Sega Genesis titles to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack lineup, after skipping a month from their usual bimonthly update. Subscribers can now play Alisa Dragoon, Beyond Oasis, and Earthworm Jim on Nintendo Switch. Japanese players get all the same 3 games in their own update at the same time. Each game will be immediately accessible after updating the Sega Genesis – Nintendo Switch Online application on your Switch to its latest version. Grandia II Remastered coming to Steam & GOG on August 24th

We have finally gotten a release date for Game Arts classic Japanese RPG Grandia II, which the publisher will be re-naming Grandia II Anniversary Edition as it plans on releasing the game on both Steam and GOG.com next week! That’s right, August 24th is the release date for this game.

“After careful consideration, we have chosen to retitle the game for PC to Grandia II Anniversary Edition in order to properly celebrate Grandia II’s 15th anniversary. The fans voted and, now, we are proud to bring a revamped edition of the classic role-playing game from Dreamcast to PC as Grandia II Anniversary Edition.” – Kazuki Morishita President and CEO of Game Arts

If you get the game during its launch window you will only need to fork over $14.99, after this  limited period it will go up to its regular $19.99 price. Not bad for a HD port of a great game like this. Are you picking up a digital copy of the game?

Grandia II getting a PC port based on the Dreamcast version

GungHo announced that they’re re-releasing the acclaimed JRPG Grandia II on PC via Steam. While the game already got a PC port back in 2002, this will be a new port based on the original Dreamcast version. Aside from the usual Steam features like achievements and trading cards, the game will have both mouse and keyboard and gamepad support.

The port is the result of a survey GungHo put out, in which they asked fans which games by Game Arts they would want to see re-released and on which platforms. With Grandia II apparently getting a lot of support for a PC port. GungHo hasn’t said when we can expect to see this release or if any other much requested games like Lunar will be seeing re-releases as well.
