Work at Ramen shop in Black Panther: New Yakuza Chapter

Tatsuya will be able to get jobs, to earn money. One of the jobs recently revealed is working at a Ramen restaurant named Kyushu Ichibanboshi.

Famitsu screenshots reveal that the part time job will be a rhythm mini-game. You will be behind the counter, facing the screen and buttons will scroll across. Press the button, Tatsuya puts the ingredient in the ramen. Simple.

SEGA has already signed 3 real life models for their Hostess part of the game. Those are Yuu Tejima, An Nakamura and Aya Hoshi. An Nakamura is even shown pole dancing in one of the screens. I wonder how long you have to work at making ramen to get some of that action?

Sonic Colors turns Sonic into a light beam

Famitsu has given up some more Sonic Colors information, to feed all your Sonic loving thirst.  We already know that in Colors, Sonic teams up with aliens called Wisps to stop Eggman from building “Eggman Planet Park.” Which in my opinion sounds like a great park.

The Wisps in the game give Sonic special powers called “Color Power.” The White Wisp gives Sonic the power “Cyan Laser” which turns Sonic into a beam of light, which increases his speed and lets him bounce off walls.

In the game you will find Wisps in different colors, each offering their own unique ability. One that was mentioned before was the ability to dig underground. Other bit of information is that the DS version will span both screens and the Wii will have full 3-D maps. The game comes out in Japan this Winter.

SEGA in the Charts: Japanese Chart 24 – 30 May 2010

Unfortunately no cover art for the game was found, so here is a semi-related football picture

It’s been quite sometime since the last major release for SEGA in Japan and quite sometime since I last made one of these posts! But those times are finally over, a new entry of SEGA’s Let’s Make a Pro Soccer Club has been released and has debutted with average yet respectible numbers, so how did it do? Read on to find out

Virtua Fighter 5R getting classic SEGA console items

Even though SEGA is preparing for the upcoming Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown, does not mean it will stop adding stuff to Virtua Fighter 5R. SEGA updated VF5R this month, with classic SEGA consoles.

The image above shows the prices of the consoles, which can be used on your characters back. The prices for the in game items are the same price as the real consoles when they launched in Japan. Of course, you buy the consoles with in-game currency.  Make Akira look like Segata, with a Saturn on his back? Brilliant!

Hatsune Miku Project Diva 2nd store promo video

Do you work at a game store or like to pretend you do? Well now you can play this on those television sets they have there on repeat and pretend you live in Japan.

The thing says it has over 100 outfits? Imagine if you played this in the store, that would have to excite someone, right?

SEGA having casting call for Black Panther Hostess girls

SEGA held this same type of competition for Yakuza 4, which was very popular contest receiving over 1,500 applications. They narrowed it down to 7 girls who appeared in the game, now women all over Japan will have another shot, this time for Black Panther: New Yakuza Chapater on PSP.

Applications will be accepted till June 27th, if you clear the first round you will appear in front of judges in Osaka or Tokyo in early July. The final winners will appear at TGS and “other promotional activities.” Check out the official page for more information. Above is a video featuring porn star Ryo, who was one of the winners in the last competition. She should tone her voice done a bit.

More Black Panther: New Yakuza chapter info

I guess we will call the game, Black Panther here instead of Black Leopard, even if the game has no official US name. We already know with the last trailer, that the lead character Tatsuya Ukyou accidentally kills Naoki Toda, a high ranking Tojo Clan member. What we did not know is that Ukyo was planning on leaving Kamurocho after the killing, but was attacked by some men that knocked him out with a stun gun.

When Ukyo was unconscious they took him to Dragon Heat, an underground fighting arena that is ran by the Tojo Clan’s Kuki family. There is a big fight going on, two fighters are going at it, Takeru and Ryu. Takeru is powerful, but loses because of Ryu’s dead on hits. Uyko is then approached by the manager, Ryutaro Kuki, telling him if he joins Dragon Heat he will overlook the death of Naoki Toda.

All the shops you expect will be included, hostess bars will be there and there plays to be over 100 side quests. Just because its on the small screen does not mean it will be a small game.

So what SEGA IPs will guest star in Neptune RPG?

We have told you guys before that SEGA will ‘ressurct’ some IPs to appear in “Super Dimensional Game Neptune” (full title). Well we got a list, thanks to Famitsu.

  • Alex Kidd
  • Altered Beast
  • Ashura
  • Fantasy Zone
  • Golden Axe
  • Penguin Land
  • Space Harrier

I don’t quite recall Ashura, but Penguin Land? Really? I like some of the list, obviously Fantasy Zone, but most could have been bigger stuff that fans wanted. Either way, the game is Japan only so far and I doubt SEGA themselves will bring it over. As for importers, the game hits July 29th only on Playstation 3.

Valkyria Chronicles 2 manga coming this Friday

Seems that SEGA’s Valkyria Chronicles 2 will get a ‘side story’ manga in Japan. The first issue hits store shelves this Friday, the 28th. Seems that SEGA Japan is not done promoting Valkyia Chronicles 2 over there, after it released this last Fall. This is how you support a game.

Seems that the manga will be called “Valkyria Chronicles 2: Our Only Days”, sounds catchy to me. Wonder if SEGA West will be releasing it here? Doubt it.

Virtual-On Force screens and website

So SEGA’s countdown has come to a close, reveals the game is Virtual-On Force; then it takes you to the official site. As I expected, the countdown clock finished at four, not one. This has to do with their message about how its not what we expect.

The site opens up with a blog post by Watari, that says Virtual-On Force will be released on disc, not XBLA. The reason for this is because 2010 is the 15 year anniversary of the first Virtual-On game, they wanted to release something that the fans can keep forever. He also said SEGA is looking into releasing a ‘limited edition’ version of the game.

Also, Xbox’s marketing team, “Xbox 360 Special Force Division”, celebrates another success with the announcement of the game. You can view that here.

Virtual-On Force coming to retail, not XBLA

The Famitsu scans have revealed that the game will be heading to retail, not XBLA like last time.

SEGA has stated it would upgrade the game to HD and add Xbox Live support. Which is not really new, since the XBLA title featured this. Maybe they will re-do the textures? They will also have a mission mode where you can pick up items, though what they do is not specified. Mission Mode is made for single player, but can be played co-op. Also co-op boss fights.

Game, as of now, is 30% complete and is slated for a winter release in Japan. As for the west, no news if we will be getting it. I think this is just SEGA Japan cashing off the success of VOOT, would not be shocked if a cheaper, XBLA version is announced for the west.

Neptune screenshots are released

Neptune, a game being developed by Compile Hearts and being published by SEGA, is going to take ‘console wars’ to another level. The game will be an RPG, to read more information click here.

As for the screens, the graphics are very PS2 like, not that it is a bad thing. Just expected better. I hope the game is fun and there is a English release. I can dream, right?

Cyber Troopers Virtual-On Force coming to XBLA

VOOT on XBLA was a big seller, after everyone saw the news of their blog closing and announcing a profit, then a short time after a countdown to a new game for Xbox 360; we all sort of put the pieces together.

This game will have 2 vs. 2 player battles, offline 4 player split screen support and over a dozen mechs to choose from (including Temjin).

The Famitsu scan is on top, SEGA’s countdown clock is still going however.
