Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog has a complete series release on blu-ray (in SD quality), and to celebrate I thought I’d sit down and run through all the Sonic the Hedgehog home video releases on DVD and blu-ray! Which sets are the best? Which should you avoid? What bonus features do they contain? Watch and learn!
Director Jeff Fowler has made it official, the sequel to Sonic the Hedgehog the movie, the appropriately titled Sonic the Hedgehog 2, has begun production. The news comes via a tweet with a fancy picture, as seen above.

Every since Roger Craig Smith announced he wasn’t going to be voicing Sonic the Hedgehog anymore, fans have been speculating who will take over voicing the blue hedgehog. We all know that Roger Craig Smith has been voicing the blue blur for a little over a decade and had a impressive run.
Recently SEGA hit it big last year with Sonic the Hedgehog movie being a big hit and the voice actor Ben Schwartz being accepted positively by fans, so obviously he would get the question if he is the one being asked to take over voicing Sonic the Hedgehog moving forward. Ben being a good guy started by praising Roger’s performance:
“Let’s all, for a second, before we even say that, Roger Craig Smith is an absolute legend. Like, his VO work, Sonic being one of them, but his career is unbelievable for a VO artist. He is so talented.”
But what about him taking over Roger Craig Smith?
If you have been holding off on watching the Sonic Movie until it came to your favorite streaming service, well it looks like you got your wish. The Sonic Movie will debut on the streaming service on February 18, 2021.OK, so maybe not your favorite streaming service, but its still a streaming service!
Interesting that Hulu bought up the rights to stream this when we’ve seen the Netflix Sonic the Hedgehog TV show leaked last year. You’d think Netflix would have been the perfect home for The Sonic Movie. I guess they can always spread the love to as many services.

Following up from the previous article, there are more SEGA merchandise revealed at this year’s New York Toy Fair featuring Sonic the Hedgehog.
From Diamond Select’s booth, they are showcasing a statue of “Movie” Sonic on top of Dr. Robotnik Tech and the Ultimate “Classic” Sonic figure with customizable parts. Over at the Jakks Pacific’s booth, the booth has plushes of multiple Sonic the Hedgehog characters including Mighty the Armadillo.
