Courtesy of Kori from The Website of the Dead comes a photo from the title screen of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, taken at SEGA’s Arcade during Comic Con. Kori claims that this is a yet to be announced Shinobi track, and we can definitely see the resemblance to Joe’s 16-bit adventures. Sumo Digital has said that tracks will be selected, at least in the story mode, via an world map of floating islands. Each island represents a track, and this island looks very Shinobi themed. What do you all think? Is Joe getting a track to call home?

Could be Virtua Fighter too, Akira perhaps? Shinobi is more plausible though. Let the speculation flow.
It’s a floating castle…
Only other series it could possibly be is Skies of Arcadia.
All the tracks are represented as floating islands. It’s the way they’re having the tracks appear in the menus, sort of like Kingdom Hearts.
Looks like the Oboro Clan Village to me. If it was a Virtua Fighter track for Akira Yuki, Sumo would probably use his stage from VF1 or 2, but I highly doubt it. It would be cool to see Virtua City from Virtua Cop.
So…Angel Island, anyone?
“sarcasm” If that’s angel Island wheres the shrine with the master emerald?
I was simply suggesting something to follow up with this floating island theming.
It’d be great if a robot or some SF elements appear during the last lap, in order to mix the two sides of Shinobiverse.
I could have said it was Tenkou Island from Skies of Arcadia if I hadn’t seen the Samurai demon/statue in the bottom.
I had hoped a Shinobi track would focus more on the Modern/Sci-Fi levels and aesthetics, since its where you play at most of the time.
But this is still pretty damn cool!
this is awesome. I’d love a skies track or a floating island track too. <3
@Radrappy all of the tracks are floating islands lol.
I meant THE floating island. Angel island.
