Shining Hearts to let you raise pet spirits

SEGA is trying to pack in a ton of stuff into the already full Shining Hearts. This new gameplay mode thing is “Pet Spirit”, I guess tons of spirits exist in the world of Shining Hearts. A chracter, Alvin, is a 119-year-old elf who has the ability to communicate with spirits and is always shown with her flying female wind spirit Kefia.

Outside of the story, the game lets you collect and raise spirits as pets. When you progress through the game and defeat monsters in battles, you will collect spirit eggs. If you take it to your place of employment, the magic bakery, you’ll be able to hatch them there.

The game only lets you carry one pet at a time, depending on the element of the spirit you are carrying, it will boost different skills. You will also get access to “Spirit Attacks”.

Gee. I might need to pick this up when it gets released in English.

The art direction and sprites look nice.

Japanese releases are usually 20 percent more expensive than their domestic counterparts. I only by J-versions if they're used or if I can't live without them.

I just hope this is a Western release as well. The last few Shining games haven't been released outside of Japan.

Why isnt Jogurt one of these spirits?

I'm starting to feel this game wont suck…

Yet far from what I want out of a Shining game.

Seems pretty cool, I'll probably pre-order it when it comes to Sweden. Until then, I think I might just play though Shining Force II again.
