Yakuza of The End Shown on Next Sony Portable, NGP

Sony’s NGP has been revealed tonight, and among the developers talking about the device was none other then SEGA’s Toshiro Nagoshi, famed – and tanned – creator of Yakuza and Monkey Ball. Yes, the video above is Yakuza of the End running on PSP2. Yes, this device is friggin awesome.

This was shown at the “Playstation Conference” to demonstrate how easy it is to port existing PS3 games to PSp2 and still keep the same quality. Nagoshi says its just a tech demo for now, not an announcement of a port.

this is Yakuza of the END not 4!

also this is just a fast port to show how fast and easy to port PS3 games to the PSP2 with the same quality .

  2. George says:

Yeah. Going to edit it. Every news site like Engadget have been calling it 4. Pissing me off.

  3. Sharky says:

First I've heard of the PSP2… Shows I've been out of the loop the past couple of weeks.

  4. NGP? Neo Geo Pocket? Impressive! 😉

  5. DCGX says:

"Next Generation Portable", but it's still a codename. They'll change it. Hopefully just to PSP2.

I'm so excited for this! Depending on price and battery life, I may get this day one. Though I'm not a fan of the glossy finish. My current PSP is glossy. Never again.

PSP2 would be stupid. Imagine if Nintendo did that. By now we'd be on Gameboy 6.

This is quite exciting. But it really doesn't bring much new game on Sega. Though PSO with a constant 3G connection would be fun.

  7. George says:

    It is a TECH DEMO.

  8. crackdude says:

Yes it is, George. Yes it is.

You can't let the cats out of the bag in one event. Still have E3, Gamescon and TGS hype.
