Sonic to have more appearances in Wreck-It Ralph

Yes, that is Sonic the Hedgehog on a movie poster. We’ve known for some time that Sonic was getting a cameo in Disney’s upcoming film Wreck-It Ralph, and at Sonic Boom we thought we may have seen that cameo. As it turns out, probably not! In a recent interview with TOTAL FILM, Wreck-It Ralph producer Clark Spencer discussed and another scene featuring Sonic, while discussing the input video game companies had over the course of the movie’s production.

“We had a scene where we wanted the rings to come out of Sonic, and SEGA said the only way that happens is if he falls over, and we didn’t have him fall over in the scene, so we actually went back and re-animated it.”

If you want to read the interview in full, check out the source below. A poster featuring Eggman standing alongside Q*Bert, M. Bison and an original Wreck-It Ralph character is posted below the break.

This makes me wonder if Sonic will have multiple cameos or an entire scene with the characters.

I just wanted to ask the writers here to avoid posting spoilers/scenes of the film once it is released. While many will watch it this November, in some countries Wreck-it Ralph will only be released in 2013.

Er no, Sonic lose his rings when he get hit not when he falls over.

Not sure how Sega mess this simple fact up.

Huh, I doubt it’s just a cameo now. It looks like the main thing will be Ralph and a select few heroes (Sonic being one of them) vs that little girl and a select few villains (M. Bison and stuff). It’ll be a group adventure.

OMG! IVE WAITED LONG TIME FOR SONIC ON THE BIG SCREEN! Hope this leads to SEGA and DreamWorks working together for a Sonic movie itself. Dream will come true. I dont care what people slay about Sonic. He’s the best character ever created.
