Xbox Live Indie game inspired by Panzer Dragoon Orta

We all loved Panzer Dragoon Orta, which was one of the early releases on the Xbox. Problem is that the game didn’t sell to hot, doesn’t mean that it will stop Xbox Live Indie creators from paying homage to the title.

What is the game called? Leucistic Wyvern. You can get it for a dollar (80 MS points) in the indie store. The game comes with 9 stages, 6 of which are bonus stages.

Personally I haven’t played it yet, but I would love to hear what you guys think. Leave your feedback in the comment section. This is the same one I posted the screens about, which I called Sonic 2 HD. Sorry, the name is ‘Sonic Fan Remix’.

Sonic 2 3D fan project getting demo next week

Sonic 2 3D fan project has released YouTube videos and we all assumed that we would never actually get to try it. There is a thing about Sonic fan projects, most of the time the users give up on them.

But it seems the guys behind Sonic 2 3D have bigger plans and are thinking of releasing a demo next week, according to a user from NeoGAF. The Demo will be for PC of course.

To help with the wait, have some screenshots.

Sonic fan does a 20 minute YouTube rant about Sonic 4 physics

Here is a 26 year old Sonic fan, AGwolf2097, who was so pissed off with the physics in Sonic 4, that he decided to go and make a 20 minute YouTube video rant. The video comes in a epic 2 part Saga. YouTube can’t contain it in one video.

I know our forum members aren’t too happy about the physics, there are issues, but I want to know what you guys think of this guy’s point of view? Agree or disagree?

Skies of Arcadia Dreamcast mod is amazing

Just like most women, this mod looks better in the dark. Why? Because it has pretty lights.

The mod is all done by hand, making me envious that I don’t have the artistic talent (or drive) to make something this awesome.

Mister Wilson’s Jet Set single

Terek (Ter-Rek) Wilson, known by his rap name Mister Wilson, is a New Jersey rapper/battle rapper. Above is a video of him having a rap battle with a rapper named Cypher.

Mr. Wilson is a huge SEGA fan, since the age of 3 and even bears a tattoo of Sonic on his left arm. He has released his first single, called Jet Set and it uses a sample of ‘Fly like a Butterfly’ from JSRF. The track here is the experimental version and is currently being remade with producer Calvin the Genius.

iPod Nano inside a Dreamcast VMU

Finally, something good comes from owning a Nano. Wait, I don’t own one, but if I did, I would do this. How cool is that? VMUs even go nicely as a keychain. The possibilities.

I guess SEGA’s VMU MP3 player idea has finally come to light, now if you excuse me, I’m ordering me a iPod Nano. Great mod!

Halo Reaching for Monkey Targets

For those of you who do not know, the recently released Halo Reach has a level and game-type making mode called Forge World. In this you are able to make any number of this, including modes that make it not play like an First Person Shooter at all.

A Super Monkey Ball fan has taken it upon himself to remake the Monkey Target minigame where you have to jump off of a ramp and aim yourself and hit the target if possible and try to get as many points. Obviously it is nowhere near as good as the real thing, but it is great to see fans take so much time to remake something like this! There are bound to be tons of SEGA themed variants in Forge World by now, so send a link if you see any!

Video of Dreamcast Emulator running on PS3

We wrote an article about this before, saying that the emulator has been ported to the PS3. Now we have a video and the results aren’t that impressive. Sure, it has just been ported, but it doesn’t seem like something everyone should rush out and buy at this moment. This is only with a couple of weeks of work. Should be impressive as time goes on.

PSgroove is the device used to jailbreak the Playstation 3, only issue is that Sony has caught on, so if you update to the newest firmware (Right now 3.50) you most likely won’t be able to use the device, at least not till there is a work around. This means giving up access to PSN.

Vanquish – Fan Made Trailer

Here is a trailer for Vanquish made by a fan, it is comprised solely of game play found in the recently released Demo. (Available on XBLA and PSN.)

Not only is it a pretty cool trailer, but it should give you some pretty good ideas and tips on how to play Vanquish creatively. It sure made me want to boot up the demo again and give some of these moves a try!

PS3: It only does Dreamcast games

If you haven’t been in the loop, the Playstation 3 got jail broken with a USB device. After it was jail broken strange new articles started popping up. One said that jailbroken PS3’s could play PS2 games.

If that wasn’t great, a couple of guys have decided to port NullDC (Dreamcast emulator) to the Playstation 3. Apparently they got the bios running. No YouTube video or pictures have been posted, that is why its a rumor.  Sadly the emulator does not play sound yet. To check out the code, hit the source site.

A N64 in my Game Gear?

A modder, by the name of Evil Nod has put a Nintendo 64 into a Game Gear skeleton. Not only did he get the N64 in there, he also got the controller. So it has full reworking controller and a N64 crammed in there. What else could he shove in? How about a ram expansion pak? Yeah, he put one of those in there too.

Now, can someone do the same thing, with a Dreamcast? That would rock.

NiD.com interviews Yuji Naka

That’s right! The great people over at nightsintodreams.com have scored an interview with the man behind some of the most beloved Sega characters such as Sonic, Ristar and of course NiGHTS.

Being NiGHTS fans and not just the normal everyday press tools they got in some pretty good NiGHTS related questions that I recommend giving a good read over.

Like, did you know Steven Spielberg was the first person to play NiGHTS out side of Sega staff? What?

Find out everything HERE!
