New Generations 3DS Stage Revealed PLUS HD Birthday Picnic

From The Sonic Scene comes two special screens from Sonic Generations. The first, seen above, reveals a new stage for the 3DS version of the game: Sonic Adventure’s Emerald Coast! While I had thought they would have gone with a stage from Sonic Advance instead, I much prefer this. Unless, of course, this is actually Neo Green Hill from the first Sonic Advance with the whale thrown in. I’m interested to see if they copy the modern layout verbatim, or offer up something new. The second image, which can be seen after the break, might be a spoiler to some, as it appears to be from the opening cutscene. Want to see it? Continue on!

New Aliens: Colonial Marines images surface at GamesCom

Now, here’s a game that continues to look promising. The long-awaited result of the partnership between SEGA and Gearbox remains a mystery in a lot of ways, but the snippets of information that we continue to receive certainly paint a promising picture. Check out these fresh new screens at the jump as you whet your appetite for the game’s eventual release (PS3, 360, Wii U, and PC) in 2012.

You know me, Sonic Generations 3DS. And we’re at Mushroom Hill, you ready?

From SEGA Press and Sonic Stadium comes eleven new screens from the Nintendo 3DS version of Sonic Generations. But wait! These aren’t the same ol’ stages that we’ve known about, this is a brand new reveal! Straight out of Sonic & Knuckles comes Mushroom Hill featuring both classic and modern gameplay, set in both the green act 1 and the autumn colored act 2. It looks like classic Sonic will be taking the green sections of the zone, while modern Sonic will be taking the orange sections. Many of the gimmicks return including bouncy shrooms (I can hear the “boing” sound now), mechanical pulleys and helicopter plants. Check out the screens after the break!

More Chemical Plant Zone Screens Emerge from the Purple Water

Thanks to gaming site andriasang we have some more Chemical Plant zone screens, showing off exciting new portions of both classic and modern acts. The screens show off both classic and modern Sonic running about underwater, modern Sonic grabbing onto a hook and taking a ride through a large water pipe, classic Sonic avoiding the badnik Grabber and riding through the iconic Chemical Plant transport tubes. Looks like the fan-favorite zone will be filled with a number of gimmicks, looks like fun! Check out more screens after the break.

SEGA Reveals Classic Tails, Chemical Plant and Stardust Speedway Screens

No longer are blurry scans the only way to see Sonic Generations Metal Sonic and Chemical Plant zone. SEGA of America has just updated their Flickr account and added a load of screens including new CG renders of Modern and Classic Tails as well as new shots of Chemical Plant and the Metal Sonic race taking place in Stardust Speedway. Oh, and they’ve also added the 3DS package art, though it isn’t very exciting. To see all the images, head on over to SEGA’s Sonic Generations Flickr page.

Famitsu Reveals Sonic Generations City Escape Modern Remix and More Screens

While City Escape has been known of since E3, and there has been a number of preview videos and screens since then, we have yet to hear a clean version of the music for the modern version of the stage. This is the tune that singer Tony Harnell hinted at re-recording long before Sonic Generations was ever announced. Thanks to SEGA of Japan and Famitsu, a new trailer puts the E3 trailer to shame by incorporating the actual stage music. What more, Famitsu shares a few new screens from both modern and classic City Escape including the stage hub.

First Wii/3DS Screens of Mario & Sonic London Olympics!

Usually screens of Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games wouldn’t excite me too much. But color me surprised when I caught a glimpse of the first screens to be released and I got… a little excited! That was probably due to spotting one of my favorite 3D Sonic stages, Windy Valley of Sonic Adventure, returning as the location of a Dream Event. On the Mario side of things we have a 2D remake of Yoshi’s Story, which makes me hopeful that we’ll see some 2D Sonic stages return.

After the break, check out more screens and a link to an early preview of the games.

Thor: God of Thunder screens released, already underwhelmed

SEGA today announced that Chris Hemsworth (playing Thor) and Tom Hiddleston (playing Loki) will be voicing their on screen roles in the upcoming movie based game. You know, movie talent coming to video games, you guys excited?

I would be, if the game didn’t look like a PSP game. Come on, what the hell is going on here SEGA? I usually try to not to whine, but this is getting embarrassing. Are they even trying?

After the jump is the press release, if you are into SEGA hyping their products with words like “AAA talent” and “truly cinematic interactive experience.”

Binary Domain screenshots and teaser released

The days that we wait forever for a Japanese game are over, SEGA America have posted a blog entry announcing Binary Domain, even though Famitsu basically spilled the beans. Along with it is a teaser trailer (above) and some screens. Oh, and a message from Nagoshi himself.

“One of the key elements of this is the pursuit of strong and differentiated human AND robot AI. Aiming to have the world’s best AI was essential to bring a true realisation of the concept of life to the players, through the story and the action within the gameplay. The inclusion of online modes has allowed us to transform the game from a mere battle field into a field of survival.

First English screenshots for Neptune RPG

We have done our fair share of Neptune RPG related articles, but the last one we announced that NIS America will be releasing the title in America. Well, they changed the name of the game to Hyperdimension Neptunia. Logo above.

NIS America also gives us some chit chat regarding the battle system.

“The battle system itself does share a few similarities with Xenosaga with the combos. Overall the game itself is like a hybrid between Xenosaga and Mana Khemia battle wise.”

What about demo? According to Ryan Phillips, who works for NIS America, they don’t have on planned. Check out the source for more info regarding the battle system.

Captain America video game details and screens

You may recall our little reveal that a Captain America game was being developed for the Wii by High Voltage Software awhile back. Well now, the game has been officially revealed, and the developer for the other versions has been brought to light.

The upcoming Captain America movie tie-in video game, Captain America: Super Soldier , is being developed by Next Level (Punch Out!!! and Spider-Man: Friend or Foe) .

The video game will take place before the upcoming movie, Captain America: First Avenger. The game will be written by Christos Gage, who did Avengers: The Initiative and is also currently doing Avengers Academy. If you haven’t guessed it, the game (and film) will take place during World War II.

The game is set to come out next year for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PSP, Wii, and DS.

Super Monkey Ball 3DS press release and screenshots

Here are a few new facts we know about the upcoming Super Monkey Ball 3DS (not final title). It is confirmed that the game is being developed by SEGA Studio Japan. The new game will have ‘brand new compelling gameplay choices’, sounds sexy. Nagoshi (or his super busy team at least) is even working on the title it seems.

Here is the negative, it says you will have a choice between the 3DS’ motion sensor or slide pad (The slide pad means the new analog pad).

There is also a few seconds of footage, in a new Nintendo  trailer.
