How could I not be excited for The Cave when SEGA was publishing, Double Fine was developing, and the man behind The Secret of Monkey Island, Ron Gilbert, was behind this title? Now that I have finished the game, was it everything that I expected it to be? Were my hopes too high? Read on and find out.
SEGA America has released a video a speed run, it’s really quite a good speed run. It’s also a reminder that the PC version of this game will be out soon, end of this month to be exact, but you can pre-order it on STEAM right now! If you wanted to play this game in 60 FPS, you will soon be able to!
Last year, SEGA announced that they’d be teaming up with Double Fine Productions (Psychonauts) and Monkey Island creator Ron Gilbert to publish their latest digital title, The Cave. It’s a platformer with a large cast of characters, one that looks to meld a quirky sense of humor with gorgeously dark art direction. Coming from these developers, it’s definitely one to keep an eye on.

According to the recently updated product page on Steam, the PC release of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed has a price and a date. The release date has been revealed to be January 31st, 2013 and the price is $29.99 with a discount price of $26.99 currently available. While the listing does not mention the bonus characters that are going to appear in the PC release, it does list the minimum system requirements to run the day:
Steam is having their holiday sales, which means all PC gamers will be broke by new years. If you want to join in on the sale, but where waiting for some SEGA stuff to hit discount then you are in luck. The Sonic franchise pack is 77% off, giving you 15 Sonic items (not games, since some of it is DLC). You’ll even get newer stuff like Generations and All-Stars Racing (not Transformed).

Viking: Battle for Asgard was one of my favorite games when it came out back int 2008 on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Now PC users will be able to fight the hoards of undead vikings on their uber powerful PC.
SEGA’s Hardlight Studio dropped a tweet stating that you can expect the game to hit Steam next week. So who is going to pick this one up? Even if it is 4 years too late.
If you haven’t been paying attention, HELL YEAH! is out now, and you should go buy it. Enjoy the launch trailer of this crazy unique looking game from Arkedo that Takashi Iizuka helped make better. HELL YEAH! is available on PS3, Steam(PC), and XBLA.
Today SEGA has released a brand new trailer for Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed and it’s a must watch for any SEGA fan. Not only does the game looks pretty darn sweet, but it also confirms a few more tracks including an After Burner track named “Carrier Zone” where you race around air craft carriers, a track based on Starlight Carnival of Sonic Colours fame named “Galactic Parade” and a Samba de Amigo stage based on a movie studio named “Samba Studios”. But most exciting of all, for me, is that there is a track based on Skies of Arcadia, entitled “Rogues Landing”. Consider my timbers well and truly shivered! Names for previously revealed tracks have also been named: NiGHTS will race through “Dream Valley” and the special/bonus edition of the game will feature OutRun’s “OutRun Bay”.

Today, the Sega blogs have finally given us both the long-awaited release dates and price for Jet Set Radio HD. This digitally distributed darling will arrive on September 18th for PSN and the 19th for LIVE and Steam. Better news for those with Playstation Plus, you’ll be getting it a week early on September 11th. As promised, all 3 dates are technically still “summer” (although, I don’t know a single kid who won’t be in school by then). Those waiting for the Vita version will have to wait just a little bit longer as it arrives on October 16th. All versions will arrive at a super-cheap price of $9.99 (I’d have totally paid double that, but don’t tell Sega). No word yet on the iOS and mobile versions. In other Hell Yeah related news here is a brand new trailer. As the title suggests this trailer focuses on the customization featured in Hell Yeah which includes pimping your drill and wearing masks. We’re not yet sure if those customizations effect the gameplay or if they are just aesthetic changes. We’ll get back to you on that.
Sega and Creative Assembly’s 2008 game Viking: Battle for Asgard has turned up on the Steam registry and we assume will soon be available for purchase from the Steam store. This marks Viking: Battle for Asgards début on the PC having released exclusively for Xbox360 and PS3 in 2008.
If this is the beginning for Sega’s new digital strategy then I’m all for it. I absolutely loved Viking, Whilst flawed in some areas the game was full of potential and the epic battles were a thing of beauty. If this means we might get a sequel to Viking then I’ll happily double dip.

Steam right now has Sonic and SEGA All-Stars Racing as their daily deal, slashing the price of the game from $14.99 to only $3.74. That is a deal right there. Even though the PC version of the game has the best graphics out of all the versions, the PC version is missing the online component, if that is important to you.
So if you are a PC gamer and haven’t picked this title up yet, can’t go wrong at $3.74.
The creators of Hell Yeah! recently got the blessing of Sonic Team for their game, now they are preparing to shock and wow the fine people at E3 next week. But right now they are giving you a taste of whats to come in the full version of Hell Yeah!
