MJ5 – A majong game with some pretty graphics.
Super Money Ball Ticket Blitz – Still a little lost on this one to be honest.
Sega and Sonic All-Star Racing Arcade – Port of the home console version.

5 SEGA crossovers that need to happen

When I was a kid I used to love my crossover comics, I really got obsessed with the idea of having my favorite video games in a crossover, especially after I played Fighters Megamix on the Saturn. I thought it was brilliant. Capcom has been doing this crossover thing for awhile and in a few days they will release Marvel vs. Capcom 3, which makes me wonder why SEGA doesn’t do more crossovers.

As always, if you have any crossover ideas that I didn’t list, let us know in the comments.

Virtua Fighter 2 MD Perfect Port for iPhone

You know, being a SEGA fan is hard some times it feels like the company enjoys screwing with their fans as illustrated by the Genesis Perfect port of the AM2 Classic for iPhone.

We weren’t going to report this but UK-Resistance news post changed our mind:

NO IDEA WHAT TO SAY OR FEEL ABOUT THIS

Happy, Sad, Indifferent, Confused, Annoyed that Sarah Byrant’s tits won’t be as nice in 2d.

Funny, UK-Resistance Sega news reporting at it’s finest.

Check out their awesome coverage on the new NiGHTS  INTO DREAMS game, brutally honest.

Is that a SEGA arcade in your pocket?

A little over a month ago I went to my family cabin in northern Minnesota. It had been nearly seven years since I had last been there, and yet when I went back to the same bargain warehouse that I had been to back in 2003 I found the exact same SEGA Tiger LCD handhelds that I had seen hanging on the pegs all those years ago. Guess nobody wanted them.

The Tiger SEGA Pocket Arcade line hit stores during the Saturn years at a time when the clunky old Tiger handhelds were on their way out. Tiger, it seemed, was struggling in a world of Game Boy Colors and was attempting to use the names of big name SEGA Saturn console titles to sell cheap little flip open handhelds. I’m going to assume Tiger failed as a good number of these were found at an overstock warehouse, marked down from $15 to $8 to a final $4.79.

SEGA wins two Guinness of World Records at E3

This time, SEGA has picked up two world records, one for first 3D title. Which of course is Virtua Fighter (take that Nintendo) and the second is for best PS3 RPG, this one being Valkyria Chronicles (Take that Square-Enix). Even though I can see why they gave the first one out, the second is not really a world record, but a matter of opinion, no?

I’m just glad that great SEGA games are getting reconized, even on published books like Guinness of World Records. Wish Yu Suzuki was at E3 to receive that award though. This would have been a good time to announce the Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown console port!

Rumour: Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown on Console by Christmas?

There are rumblings over at VirtuaFighter.com with rumours of Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown recieving a console release for Christmas 2010 or March 2011. Obviously SEGA fans are skeptical with the recent XBLA rumours being debunked, but unlike those, these come from a long time member of the VFDC Forums, and longer time Virtua Fighter fan.

Details are scarce, with one post claiming

It’s happening………………. !

But that’s all I’ll say.

Since then others have reported that the game is scheduled for a Christmas 2010 or March 2011 release, or backed up the initial post.

Fingers crossed, fans have been waiting a long time for the next Virtua Fighter.
