Danica Patrick finishes 14th in O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge

What the hell is this? SEGAbits reporting on sporting events? Well, those who are following Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed should remember that Danica Patrick and Hot Wheels teamed up with SEGA to feature Danica Patrick in the upcoming video game, in turn SEGA sponsored Danica in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge, which took place on November 3rd At Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas. Per the race results, Danica Patrick finished 14th out of 43 racers. Check out a gallery of images from the race here, and read a more detailed telling of Danica’s race here.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f has sold over 230,000 units

Back when the game was released in September, it reported it sold 186,000 copies. Now a few months after its release, SEGA reports that the title has reached 230,000 copies sold. Sadly SEGA didn’t specify if they included Playstation Store digital units in the sales figure or not.

The developers have stated that the game might have had too big of a budget and that they were aiming on this title being the best selling Vita game for 2012. So was it? Well, its competition is actually Persona 4: Golden, a Vita port of the PS2 Atlus RPG Persona 4, which has sold 260,000 copies in Japan. The year isn’t over, Hatsune Miku can still take the crown for the best selling Vita game of 2012. The only issue is, Persona 4: Golden is coming out in the west and Project Diva f isn’t.

Wreck-It-Ralph and Danica Patrick are the focus of two new All Stars Racing Commercials

Sega shows that Sonic isn’t the only star of their new racing game. The first one is made for US TV-viewing audiences and features Danica Patrick and Sonic going out of their way to torture AiAi. It reminds me enough of the Sega commercials of old that it really should have ended with AiAi screaming “SEGA!”. What’s cool is this commercial also re-confirms the US street date of November 18th.

Read on to see Ralph ask Sonic “What are you doing in a car?”

Fighting Vipers XBLA Achievements Revealed

Xbox360achievements.org has uploaded the entire achievement set for the upcoming rerelease of the AM2 fighter, Fighting Vipers as part of the MODEL 2 Collection. No word of Virtua Fighter 2 and Sonic the Fighters achievements. The achievements seems to be too easy. Other than that, I can’t wait to get my hands on it! Round One! Let the Action Begin!

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F hitting PS3 spring 2013

SEGA already released Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f on Vita. Notice how they now capitalized the F for the Playstation 3 version that was recently announced to be coming out in Spring 2013? Clever, clever.

The Playstation 3 version of the game will feature six new songs, new modules and customization items. All your system data and edit information for the Vita game will transfer to the Playstation 3 version when it’s released. Famitsu teased that new modes are being planned, but no details have been provided yet.

Vita only features like AR and scratched notes are obviously not going to translate into the Playstation 3, so instead you have a star icon. What does it do? Sorry, SEGA hasn’t provided information on this either. Of course, this is a Japan only game as well.

Yakuza 1&2 HD edition: PS2 vs. PS3 version

Sony has been pumping HD collections for awhile and gamers have had mix opinions, but this time its SEGA’s first time and I’m excited. I’m a big Yakuza fan, so having the first two (especially the 2nd one) in HD with some nice widescreen and softing up of the jaggies.

Want to see more comparisons? Hit up Siliconera’s article with a ton more photos. Sadly no US release date for the collection has been announced.

Sega uploads a preview of Sakura Wars Kanadegumi Anime

With the stage show coming in next month. The anime adaptation is also in the works based on the original manga that’s focused on the Kanadegumi (performance) group. It also seems Ogami and Taiga may not be the only guy with spiritual power in the Sakura Taisen universe, these boys can destroy demons with the power of music. The main theme song for the anime is called “Waltz, to you” by the Kanadegumi group. I’m hoping to see some reference from previous Sakura Taisen games.

SEGA shows a preview of the new Sakura Taisen Stage Show

There’s a new Sakura Taisen stage play coming up next month. This doesn’t mean a new game, but it focuses on the Kanadegumi (performance) group from the latest manga which stars a new character named Neo Miyabi and the five main characters. An anime adaptation is also in the works. The play will run from November 1st to the 11th.

Nintendo Direct gives us our first look at Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed on 3DS

The Nintendo Direct stream, which concluded moments ago, gave SEGA fans their first glimpse of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed running on the 3DS. The stream, which highlighted upcoming 3DS titles, ended with a montage of games and SEGA snuck in a few seconds of the game in motion. Sonic was seen flying through the Panzer Dragoon track, followed by Sonic in Seaside Hill changing from a car to a boat. It was quick, but the game looked great! Want to see it for yourself? Click here to skip right to the money shot. After the break, screengrabs of the video preview.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Splitz now available on Vita. Demo out as well.
