With all the new Game Gear games being ported to the 3DS, most people are asking themselves if buying these classics are worth it. Well, above is a 5 minute video from the dudes at Nintendo Life testing out the games.
Now all I wonder is if that tilt effect is optional in Super Hang-On, because it looks pretty annoying.
The guys over at Epic Scents think that gamers like me and you want to smell like video game characters, so last year they teamed up with Capcom to bring a Mega Man scent to the masses. As you can tell, Mega Man was sadly not busy doing games, so it all worked out.
Now Epic Scents wants to team up with SEGA to create some scents based on SEGA brands. They are expected to launch in this year, it seems. Hit the jump to read the PR statement. What SEGA brand do you want to smell like?
We posted before about how SEGA picked up publishing rights to Neoact’s DOTA clone called Chaos Heroes Online. It seems that SEGA isn’t afraid of using its franchise’s to get people on the new game, since they have announced new bonus characters Alicia Melchiott and Selvaria Bles from Valkyria Chronicles. There are alternative ‘bikini’ costumes, but those will be bought by in-game cash. Talk about literally whoring out your characters. Hey for those of you that want to get Sonic Lost World on the 3DS, the trailer released earlier didn’t show this version. But hey, here are a few of screenshots showing you what to expect from the handheld version. Check it out, tell us what you think.

Now that SEGA and Nintendo have announced Yakuza 1&2 HD coming to the Wii U, everyone is asking the question if the new upcoming Yakuza game will appear on Nintendo’s console. In a new interview Nagoshi has stated that it seems unlikely. Yakuza 1&2 HD on Wii U marks the first time ever (not counting mobile phone games) that the series has appeared on a console not made by Sony. When asked if it would be coming to the 3DS, he stated simply no.
But what about the Vita? He said that it seems something natural for people to expect. So it seems if you want your Yakuza fix, it is guaranteed on Sony platforms. I say, the more platforms the better.
If you guys didn’t know, one of my favorite aspects about the video game Panzer Dragoon is the incredible artstyle. The art in the game is a mixture of one of my favorite comicbook artists, Mœbius and Studio Ghibli (especially the movie Nausicaa). On this week’s Monday Memories we will look at the art that inspired the great video game known as Panzer Dragoon!
We’ve reported before that Jacky Bryant will be joining the roster of Virtua Fighter characters in Dead or Alive 5 in the newest version entitled Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate. Above is the trailer for the game.
Who knows maybe they’ll announce more Virtua Fighter characters making the roster before the game’s September 5th release date.

Above is the map of the South Hall from this year’s E3. Check out all the publishers. SEGA is sitting pretty up there with Activision Blizzard and Square-Enix. As you can see their booth is going to be pretty big, bigger than Capcom and Konami’s (who even have a new Metal Gear to show).
The odd thing is that SEGA hasn’t really been teasing too many games. I guess they do have heavy hitters coming like Company of Heroes 2, Total War: Rome 2 and of course Sonic Lost World. Who knows, we might even get new surprises on the Xbox One and Playstation 4! You can discuss SEGA’s booth with fans via our forum.
Seems that Jacky Bryant will join his co-stars Pai Chan, Sarah Bryant Akira Yuki as a playable character in Dead or Alive 5. Only that Jacky Bryant is exclusive to Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate, Famitsu announced today. Seems that SEGA and Team Ninja have warmed up to the cross over, at this point they might as well create a Dead or Alive vs Virtua Fighter title. Or is that too long of a name?
Other chracters revealed for the Ultimate edition of the game includes Momoji (Ninja Gaiden series) and Ein. Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate comes out September 5th in Japan.
Recently EA has said that their upcoming video games will not be heading to the Nintendo Wii U. Nintendo hasn’t been the first one to be black balled by the publishing giant, back when SEGA was going to launch the Dreamcast, EA pulled a similar move.
This week on Monday Memories we will look at EA not supporting the much beloved Dreamcast.
Sonic Lost World is all the rage on the internet and when I say rage I literally mean rage. Seems that most fans online aren’t very happy with the announcement that SEGA will be releasing the next three Sonic titles as Nintendo exclusives. We already wrote an article outlining why this isn’t such a bad thing. The next question is when will the game come out?
Well, according to SEGA Japan’s Facebook page you should expect to see it this holiday season. As expected, right? So start saving your pennies!
If you see below this post, you will noticed the Yakuza 1&2 HD screenshots for the Wii U Edition. Above you can see the game in action in its first ever trailer. The game is set to be released in Japan on August 8th, for both download and retail services.
The Wii U port will have all the features included in the Playstation 3 release (including the new Easy Mode) and will take advantage of the Wii U’s gamepad screen to see the map while you play. It will also allow you to play the game on the pad’s screen if you decide you want to. The game will retail for 5,229 yen (About $51.13 usd) and the download version will cost you 4,700 yen (about $45.83).
It’s weird that SEGA has decided to port over Yakuza 1&2 HD to the Wii U. Maybe this is their first step in planning on bringing over the other Yakuza titles. Regardless, these two Yakuza titles (especially the second one) are the best Yakuza titles ever made. So if you never played a Yakuza game and they bring this over to America, do yourself a huge favor and pick it up.
