I thought the game was going to be English, world wide. Seems that is not the case. I hope it allows you to play through it with Japanese voices and English subtitles.
This shows some footage from the English trailer and a few new pieces. Also they changed the music. The game is looking better every time I see it.
SEGA and Creative Assembly have released the newest patch for their Shogun 2 game. This one updates the graphics engine and uses effects only available on DX 11 compatible cards.
What else is changed? Hit the jump and see the huge list (when I say huge, I mean huge).
As many know, Famitsu recently had a massive 20 page spread of SEGA interviews, news, and information. One highlight was an interview with Toshihiro Nagoshi and some of his comments have been translated from the latest Famitsu issue. Those who listened to the podcast will know how I hoped that there would be several ways to win a battle and it seems Nagoshi is emphasizing that point. Read on to find out some details that have been translated from his interview and please excuse the dodgy translations.
Wait, people out there want something like this? Michael Pachter’s an infamous gaming analyst who has a show on Gametrailers called “Pach-Attack” where he answers readers’ questions. One of those questions happened to be what the chances were of a SEGA/Apple console.
Isn’t this guy always wrong or does he just state the obvious? I assume more of the obvious with clueless comments. Only America would pay you for a job like this.
The GameStop/EBGames release schedule for Nintendo 3DS games in 2011 has just been printed and it seems that there’s a nice suprise hidden amongst a torrent of meh games and ports. Sonic Generations is way down there at the bottom of the list! So awesome a real reason to buy the 3DS! I wonder if this’ll turn up on the NDS or the next Nintendo console too?
Worth a mention CRUSH 3DS (one of the best puzzle games EVER MADE) is on the list and so is Mario & Sonic at the London Olympics.
Yes.. you read that right. A Sonic Generations Demo has been rated by the Australian ratings board. It has been rated with a kid friendly G rating. That doesn’t mean the final game won’t have a big monster though.. so don’t get your hopes up =P
It’s unusual for a demo to be rated… so who knows what’s going on. Maybe SEGA is planning an early demo for everyone to play! That would be awesome.
Aaron Webber, who many of you may know as Rubyeclipse at several forums, has always been one of my favorite Sega community members to talk to. Outspoken, but still very professional, Aaron has gotten a promotion from community manager to brand manager on Sonic Generations and possibly future Sonic games.
Gamespot’s On The Spot show had a demo play of Guardian Heroes, the new port being handled by Treasure exclusively for XBLA.
Really weird, that out of nowhere SEGA decided to bring this game back. No complaints, outside the fact that I wish it was on PSN. But hey, can’t cry over exclusivity.
When Guardian Heroes was originally announced for XBLA, many were wondering who SEGA was going to contact to handle the porting duties. Some, like I, assumed that due to the fact that it was going to be an XBLA exclusive, that it would be handled by Treasure themselves. The first screenshot though had many wondering and believing that Backbone, a company that has enjoyed numerous porting duties from SEGA, had earned the job. However it has been revealed by Siliconera that Treasure themselves are working on the port, so those who wanted the original developer can rest assured that Treasure themselves have returned to port the SEGA Saturn classic title.
Remember a long while back when we were asked, as video game fans, to vote on the most influential games to be featured in the Smithsonian American Art Museum The Art of Video Games exhibit? Well at long last that list has been revealed and SEGA fans will have plenty to be happy about. Check out the full list here, in PDF format, and after the jump check out the SEGA games featured in the exhibit.
It seems that the SEGA Saturn classic, Guardian Heroes, is heading to XBLA with new HD graphics. So far only an XBLA version has been announced, perhaps an indication that the port itself is handled by Treasure?
The XBLA version boasts some new features including online multiplayer and new HD graphics!
Action-RPG Brawling: Choose one of five heroes to level up and guide along a branching storyline with five different endings.
Friends, Foes, and Fighters: Play the game’s Story Mode alone or with a second player, or challenge Versus Mode with up to 12 players at once.
Extended Gameplay: Time Attack Mode, Arcade Mode, Arrange Mode and more allow players to explore every nuance of 45 different fighters.
Fully Re-Mastered: All-new graphics and visual effects bring the classic to life in a completely high-definition, widescreen presentation

Final words!
Well, I’ve run out of reasons (good) for why you should purchase Yakuza 4! All I can do at this point is recommend it one final time.
Yakuza 4 is a genuinely really fantastic game, it is also really underrated. It has that unique Sega feel to it, it’s original and it has provided me and many here at Segabits staff hours and hours of fun. It’s the perfect game to jump in!
[update] Seems like some sources have changed or the lack of sleep really got to me. The game is NOT teased as ‘Nintendo developed’ but as being on a ‘Nintendo platform’. 95% sure this will be the Sonic 3DS game. [/update]
Nintendo fans have been complaining that HD users are getting Sonic Generation, but those Nintendo only users might have their own exclusive title to look forward to!

Why you should own this game – Day 6 –Reason 6
There are no other games like it! Yakuza is a one of a kind game, in fact it is a game made up of multiple games. Besides the fantastic main story driven game you can easily spend hours doing the sub-games found all over the city. Be it running the Hostess bar, training your fighters or heck even just playing darts or in the batting cage. There is even an arcade in the game where you can play slot machines, claw machines and a Shoot-em-up! Every game is fleshed out and a full game in its own right.
If there is one game that is close to Yakuza, it’s the master piece that is Shenmue and even then they are worlds apart.

The first video of SEGA and Avalanche’s Renegade Ops arrives by way of a short, but f***ing sweet teaser trailer! What more, IGN answered a few questions about the game:
Top down perspective
Minimal storyline shown through comic book-esque panels
Game is described as a mix between A-Team, GI Joe and Micro Machines
It has multiplayer
It has a summer release for Xbox Live Arcade, PSN and PC Download
