The Conduit 2 fact sheet (What you need to know)

Here is a fact sheet about the upcoming (and recently delayed) Conduit 2. Ignore my silly fact above, that is sadly not on the list. Read on to learn all the ‘facts’ about Conduit 2.

Conduit 2 Fact Sheet – Launch Date: 2011, Players: 1-12

Set moments after the explosive finale of The Conduit, Agent Michael Ford finds himself thrust once again into the machinations of the sinister and enigmatic John Adams and his Trust organization. After uncovering and partially thwarting Adam’s fabricated alien invasion, Ford and the alien entity Prometheus set out to end the Trust’s control in an adventure spanning the globe. New and improved weapons and enemies, competitive modes playable both online and in the same room via splitscreen make the follow-up to the best shooter on the Wii a can’t miss experience.

Shogun 2 Total War – Battle Report #1

Jesus, the graphics in this game are amazing and this is only pre-alpha footage. Check out the first Battle Report for Shogun: Total War. You have 6 and a half minutes of pure gameplay bliss.

Looks like Creative Assembly has another winner on their hands. Now if only they would try doing another ‘action game’ that has as impressive graphics as this game….

Yakuza 4 announcement trailer

Here is the Yakuza 4 announcement trailer, a bit late, since it was announced awhile back. Regardless, its coming out Spring 2011, for those of you who want to skip to the end.

I noticed that in the Western trailers, SEGA is afraid to let the characters talk, because they assume all Americans are afraid of Japanese speak. Well, we are, thank you SEGA.

Vanquish features suicide and M rating

ESRB has agreed and given Vanquish the M rating, for Mature audiences only. I was a bit shocked, since Mikami said he wanted to make the game about killing robots, if Halo is not rated M, why would this game?

I guess human soldiers can be killed, when they are killed or blown up, there is blood (and limbs). They also revealed that some cutscenes will have violence and one even has a random character committing suicide. As they say, assassinating himself.

High Voltage and SEGA’s relationship coming to an end?

High Voltage Studios worked on The Conduit 1/2 and Tournament of Legends, but it seems that the developer is having trouble finding a publisher for new titles. According to a developer who works at the studio, after recent layoffs all the remaining workers are polishing up Conduit 2, getting it ready to ship.

This means that their other project called “The Grinder” may be canceled, the main reason is that they can’t find a publisher for the title. Why did they start laying people off? According to the developer it was because no publishers wanted to pick up their other projects, so they had to fire staff they did not need. Does not look good for High Voltage Software at the moment.

NIS might bring Neptune to America & Europe

You might have seen posts around here about Neptune RPG for the Playtation 3, which is set to be publish by SEGA in Japan. It is even going to feature classic SEGA cameos. What about us in America and Europe? No fear, NIS America is here.

“All I can say now is Idea Factory asked us to localize the game for the US and Europe. We are eager to do that. We are in discussion about the conditions for licensing the title. The deal is almost done. ” – Haru Akenaga, President of NIS America

Glad that are looking into the licensing issues and I hope they do not have to change too much stuff.

SEGA hopes to re-release around 20 DC titles by next summer

SEGA has stated they are planning on bringing 18 to 24 DC titles to PSN and XBLA by next summer. Shenmue re-release seems pretty likely now. This is according to Mike Hayes, who of course is the president of SEGA West.

“We hope to have somewhere between 18 to 24. Around that.” – Mike Hayes

So what about SEGA Saturn? Mike Hayes says that right now, they have no plans on bringing SEGA Saturn games to HD consoles. Come on, give us some Panzer Dragoon and Shining Force III!

Hostess clubs to return in Yakuza 4

In the West, Yakuza 3 had cut content like Hostess clubs; but in Yakuza 4 they will return. AAUK from the SEGA Europe blog has confirmed it.

I don’t know all the ins and outs of the game at this stage I can at least confirm to you that the much loved Hostesses will return in Yakuza 4 in all their alluring glory.”

This is great, especially for those that want the full experience when they buy their games.

Gunblade NY & LA Machine Guns Wii box art

Here is the American box art for SEGA’s compilation of Gunblade NY/LA Machine Guns for the Nintendo Wii. I guess it gets the job done, even has bullets all over the cover, you know what you are in for.

The box art also says it will support Nintendo’s Wifi. I assume its for  online leaderboards. That should be fun.

So what does SEGA think about Yakuza 3 sales?

SEGA’s community manager has spoken out about Yakuza 3’s sales in the west and it isn’t negative.

“So, while I’m not able to give you any numbers, I can at least still confirm that the initial sales were really positive, and that all of the fans who jumped in to support the franchise in the west did a great job.”  –RubyEclipse, Community Manager

I guess its OK to ask and cry for Yakuza 4 and Black Leopard? C’mon SEGA, you know we are going to start whining, just bring them over.

Official: XSEED bringing Ivy the Kiwi to America

We ran it as a rumor a few days ago that XSEED Games was going to be publishing Ivy the Kiwi and now they have officially confirmed it. They will be publishing the Nintendo DS and Wii version in North America.  Look for it on store shelves this summer.

Also seems that the title is Ivy the Kiwki? with the question mark. I did not post it like that because it would just confuse readers. The game was develope by Yuji Naka’s Prope, that brought us Let’s Tap and Let’s Catch.

You can hit the jump and see the press release…

Rumor: XSEED to bring Ivy The Kiwi to America?

XSEED seems to be on a role, bringing cult games over to America. They just released Lunar: Silver Star Harmony on the PSP and are already teasing their next project via Twitter. I have to admit, sounding like it can be Ivy The Kiwi.

“XSEED is poised to announce one of our hidden titles next week. It’s sure to be a feather in our cap…”

Not good enough? How about we add another tweet…

“For those guessing certain titles as our mystery announcement, you don’t really think we’d keep all our eggs in one basket, do you? ^_-”

Their third hint says it will be revealed via Nintendo Power magazine. If that was not enough, their facebook is hinting birds as well. It could most likely be Ivy in the Kiwi, XSEED has published Namco-Bandai games before and this is by Yuji Naka, enough to make a cover story. We shall keep you posted.
