Just like The Creative Assembly’s Alien title, SEGA have kept their Warhammer licensed title underwraps, that is until now. The newly announced game only has a CGI trailer with scarce information other than the fact the game will feature “Gigantic monsters, flying creatures, legendary heroes and storms of magical power take their place on the battlefield, alongside thousands of warriors clashing in real-time tactical battles” and that this is but one of two more stand alone installments making a trilogy of Warhammer titles.
It’d be interest to know if this is hinting at a possible Dawn of War 3 which would be using the Warhammer 40,000 license. Whatever the case, enjoy the CGI trailer and with E3 only a month and a half away, you won’t have to wait long to find out more information on The Creative Assembly’s latest strategy title.
SEGA has said that this first title will be part of a trilogy and other content packs they are planning on releasing. This is going to be a big license for SEGA going out, so what do you guys think? Should have SEGA taken the fantasy turn or stuck to time period games?
Jet Set Radio and its sequel Jet Set Radio Future are often cited as having some of the best music to come from SEGA thanks in a large part to Hideki Naganuma and Richard Jacques. While in-house talent played a large role in creating such memorable soundtracks, the soundtracks also consisted of licensed music from artists that included Guitar Vader, Cibo Matto, Deavid Soul and others. This week on SEGA Tunes (the feature formerly known as Tuesday Tunes) we’re focusing on a third type of Jet Set Radio music contributor: The Latch Brothers.
From today to April 24th, Project Diva Arcade players can take part in a survey about on which platforms they’d like to see the game ported to. People can choose which platform they’d like to see the game the most and second most on. According to Gematsu, the options are PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, PC, smartphone, and “non applicable”. There’s also a question asking fans which elements they’d like to see added in potential future models.
If you want to take part in this survey, unless you live in Japan you’re likely not going to have a chance to. As NeoGAF member Articalys pointed out, the only way to get access to the survey is by getting a Project Diva Arcade account ID. And the only way to get one of those is by playing the arcade game. But even if we can’t take part of it, it’s nice to know that we’ll likely see the game get ported to consoles or PC.

Waiting for SEGA to announce their upcoming games and have them playable at events like E3? Well, you might be in for a shocker, seems that SEGA isn’t listed in registered exhibitors for this year’s E3.
Am I shocked? No, SEGA has already announced that they are restructuring and moving form San Francisco to the LA area this upcoming June. Sadly with the move comes a lot of the staff leaving and most likely people that helped with these events. I can see SEGA just showing off games with other bigger booths, like Yakuza 5 at Sony’s booth for example.
Personally I find that E3 is slowly becoming less relevant to consumers and wouldn’t mind if SEGA just focused on having their own version of Nintendo Direct where we see all the games coming in an hour long type of live stream. One thing with SEGA is that their fans are spread from Sonic the Hedgehog only fans to Total War only fans, these two fan bases have millions of users and having them come together for one stream will allow you to show them franchises they would otherwise never hear of.

SEGA is going to be pulling sales of Virtua Tennis 4 from digital stores including Steam on April 23rd, 2015. After this day you won’t be able to pick up a copy of the undeserved critically panned tennis game.
If you have a PC, I suggest you purchase a copy right now for $2.99 on Steam, I feel that the game is well worth it even if it has crappy Games for Windows Live tacked onto it. Its a great Tennis game filled with addictive mini-games.
There are reasons why SEGA could have delisted the game, most of the usually fall in licenses expiring. I wonder what this means for the future of the Virtua Tennis franchise?
Here’s a new trailer for Persona 4: Dancing All Night, Atlus’ dancing rhythm game for the PS Vita. P4: Dancing All Night features characters from the popular Persona series- you guessed it, dancing all night. But this trailer boasts more than just a jig with a boy in a bear suit. Dancing All Night features a pretty meaty story mode, told through animated cut scenes and Persona style talking heads. Plus an impressive selection of songs and outfits to dress your favourite Persona 4 characters in.
Persona 4: Dancing All Night will release on June 25th, 2015 for the PS Vita in Japan. Western dates still to be announced sometime within the year.

As you might already know, Atlus usually isn’t that great with releasing their games in Europe and usually needs the help of other publishers to release them there, with the publisher in Europe often being NIS America. So it makes sense that they’re the ones who’ll bring over Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker and Etrian Mystery Dungeon this fall. They also announced that Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight will be coming to Europe in early 2016.
NIS America also released trailers for Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker and Etrian Mystery Dungeon, though they’re no different from the trailers that Atlus had already released for the US releases.
The SEGA Blog has unveiled more SEGA 3D Classics titles! Just when we thought the series was over with the second wave featuring SEGA arcade classics, SEGA hits us over the head with a trio of Genesis/Mega Drive classics: 3D Sonic The Hedgehog 2, 3D Streets of Rage 2 and 3D Gunstar Heroes. Rather than being a third wave of titles, these new additions are a part of wave two. Though interestingly, their announcement appears to be exclusive to the West at the moment.
3D Streets of Rage 2 is set for July, 3D Gunstar Heroes in August, and 3D Sonic The Hedgehog 2 in September 2015. Also announced are the dates for the already announced 3D Classics arcade titles: 3D Fantasy Zone II (April 16, 2015) and 3D Thunder Blade (May 14, 2015). As with past releases, new modes and features are planned but are not yet revealed. Prices will be $5.99/€4.99/£4.49 and the games will be releasing exclusively to the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS.
SEGA announced today that Virtua Tennis 4 will be removed from the Steam store on April 23rd. So before it will no longer be possible to buy the PC version, SEGA has put the game on sale for 80% off the normal price. As with all games on Steam that were removed from the store, you will still be able to download it from your library after its removal. However, the game still uses Games for Windows Live, of which online services no longer work. So you won’t be able to play the game online.
Virtua Tennis 4 isn’t the first SEGA game to be removed from Steam. Outrun 2006: Coast to Coast was removed from the store back in 2010, and in 2011 Happy Tree Friends: False Alarm was de-listed as well.
As evidenced last month, the unofficial Microsoft Xbox magazine Xbox Nation (XBN) really liked Smilebit. Their premiere issue featured Smilebit’s Jet Set Radio Future, which is surprising given Halo‘s dominance at the time, and their third issue featured a Panzer Dragoon Orta cover and an eight page preview and interview with former Team Andromeda staff. As the magazine continued, XBN kept up on various SEGA and Smilebit titles. In the magazine’s sixth issue they returned to Japan for another Smilebit interview, this time with Panzer Dragoon Orta artists Takashi Iwade and Kentaro Yoshida. Famitsu.com has now officially spilled the beans on the new upcoming Project x Zone 2: Brave New World video game coming to the Nintendo 3DS this fall worldwide! The game shows off some new crossover characters that will be brand new including SEGA fan favorites (listed below):

Project X Zone, the 2012 crossover for the Nintendo 3DS which threw together SEGA, Bandai Namco and Capcom characters into an epic adventure, is set to return! According to a report from website e-duessee, a sequel is in the works for the 3DS entitled Project X Zone 2: Brave New World. The article itself is a report of an April 7th Bandai Namco press event held in Milan at which the game was announced alongside another unannounced title, Saint Seiya: Soldiers’ Soul for the PS4, PS3, and PC. The original article has since been edited to remove the mentions of the games (whoops!) but thankfully NeoGAF caught it before the removal.
