Gamespot’s On The Spot show had a demo play of Guardian Heroes, the new port being handled by Treasure exclusively for XBLA.
Really weird, that out of nowhere SEGA decided to bring this game back. No complaints, outside the fact that I wish it was on PSN. But hey, can’t cry over exclusivity.
Our friends over at SegaShiro have made this very informative and entertaining Yakuza 4 video review. If you are still on the fence whether to buy or not to buy I suggest giving this a watch.
Another character from Wii exclusive MadWorld jumps into the world of Anarchy Reigns, this will make it the fourth character. If you are wondering the others: Jack, Matilda and Big Bull are all from the MadWorld universe.
Black Baron will be bringing his ‘Super Sexy Fists of Fire’ to the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 later this year. Are you ready?
The new trailer for Platinum Games upcoming Anarchy Reigns has been posted. This one shows some more gameplay and even how ‘levels interact’ with the fighting. Really starting to remind me of Power Stone. Which is a good thing.
Game is shaping to be awesome. We hope there is a demo released, since I have been seing a lot of hate for the game online. Got to prove the haters wrong.
Courtesy of TouchArcade, The Appera and IntoMobile come a collection of hands-on Sonic & SEGA All-Star Racing gameplay videos. The game looks quite impressive for an iOS title, especially one that seems to be for all platforms and not just the beefed up iPhone 4 and iPad. Despite being only a pre-alpha build, impressions have been positive!
After the break, check out two more videos featuring B.D. Joe in Tokyo-to, a look at Blizzard Castle and a tour of the menus.
Its pretty impressive how well this game has held the test of time. Very nice graphics still. The trailer shows off the players moves and combo chains for the upcoming version.
But what is this in the end… a playable Dural? I’m intrigued, now give me my damn console port.
Constructoid is a show that discusses the ‘issues’ in video games. This one features Princess Peach and Bayonetta as examples of bad stereotypes in games.
The video basically shows everything that’s negative about Bayonetta, yet doesn’t take the time to shed light on what’s positive about her character. Is she ‘sexy’? Yes. Is she a whore? No. You would have to have sexual intercourse to do this or even ‘touch’ someone sexually. Bayonetta didn’t do this. But she did have character, especially her relationship with Jeanne. Also I don’t see Bayonetta, a character who isn’t ashamed of herself and who defends herself, as a negative for the feminist movement. (I talk more about this here).
I think that people, especially men, overthink this ‘sexual’ issue with women in video games. Why is it always men that whine about it? Girl gamers don’t seem to mind it, seeing as how Bayonetta is being cosplayed so often.
If you already made up your mind that you are going to purchase Conduit 2, you probably won’t want to see the first 30 minutes of the game. But if you are on the fence about it, because you hated the AI and level design on the first one, this is for you.
The last of Famitsu’s character trailers, this one is for Jack and his chainsaw Gator Tooth. For all of you guys that didn’t know, Jack is the lead character for MadWorld, the Wii exclusive title from Platinum Games.
The more I see these characters, the more I want to see online gameplay. No, scratch that, the more I want to play it myself!
If you were a kid like me, your parents would have probably needed information like this. Trust me, I was a destructible child. Thank God for my parents that ‘CD based games’ really didn’t take off when I was so young or i’d go through games faster than I went through diapers (So what? I liked to poop).
Here is an informative video on cartridges, both for Genesis/Mega Drive and Super Nintendo. If you are a SEGA fan (if you are on this site you should, unless you googled Nintendo amazing Zelda rom and ended up here) you probably guessed the winner.
Above is the latest teaser trailer for Anarchy Reigns (Max Anarchy in Japan). The teaser shows off a familiar face, Jack from MadWorld, Platinum Games’ ultra violent Wii game.
Nothing about the game is really shown, outside the character models. It is a shame, I’m dying for game footage!
Seems that the weapons for Conduit 2 will be a mash up of other weapons found in popular FPS games, not that this is a bad thing. We have a gravity gun looking weapon and the “see enemies & shoot them behind walls” gun that was in Resistance 2, might have been in more games.
I thought the game was out next month but it seems to be delayed till March. This game best be awesome.
If you ever wanted Sonic to shut up in the new games, then this might be your cup of tea, a silent picture starting Sonic that would make Charlie Chaplin proud.
The film is short and reminds me of the old Mickey Mouse cartoons like “Plane Crazy“. Of course, I assume that is what the artist was going for.
If you haven’t seen ‘Talking Classics’ with Keith Apicary, then you are missing out. Some of the episodes can be hit or miss, but its basically a video game related Napoleon Dynamite.
In the latest episode, posted yesterday, Keith talks about SEGA’s Dreamcast. Give it a play, don’t take it seriously.
Some may say that 2010 was a turn around year for Sega, and I would agree. While 2008 and 2009 had their highlights, 2010 was pretty packed with great Sega games.
Our regular forum goer and TheSegaSource blogger ‘SegaUranus’ has made a very fitting tribute video highlighting some of the best games of 2010. Set to the awesome Bayonetta remix of OutRuns ‘Splash Wave’.
So pull up a seat and let’s bask in the glory of Sega 2010 and hope 2011 is even better!
